INFORMATION

Information security today represents irreplaceable part of any computer system, computer network, information system, etc. At the University of Belgrade, School of Electrical Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics a new laboratory was founded to support teaching, research and commercial services in the area of information security. The Laboratory for Information Security is equipped with modern equipment initially acquired through Erasmus+ project "Information Security Services Education in Serbia" (ISSES) and later supplemented with donations from industry partners and new projects.

TEACHING
The Laboratory for Information Security is currently used for performing laboratory exercises at the “Advanced Network and System Security” course at master academic studies in the Electrical Engineering and Computing study program at the University of Belgrade, School of Electrical Engineering, but it will be utilized at the “Computer Security” bachelor studies course and the “Secure Software Development” master studies course.
Advanced Network and System Security
Introducing students to the field of computer system and network intrusion and attack detection and prevention. Teaching students for the work in the field of computer system and network security. Ethical hacking and penetration testing. Understanding key threats and attack vectors on computer and software systems. Practical work on multiple contemporary tools for attack detection and analysis. Students who complete this course will be able to: * understand the methodology of the attacks and intrusions to computer systems and networks * know various types of attack on computer systems and networks * actively use tools for the detection and analysis of the threats and attacks * perform ethical intrusions into the computer systems and networks as a way to analyze system vulnerability.
Secure Software Development
Introducing students to the field of secure software development. Training students for the use of best practices in secure software development. Understanding threats and ways for detection and removal of threats in existing software systems. Attack vectors on computer and software systems. Introducing students to secure code audit methodologies. Students will gain knowledge about secure software development methodologies, as well as methodologies for detection and removal of threats and vulnerabilities in existing software systems.
Computer Security
Introduce students to the basic concepts of computer security. Understanding fundamentals of cryptography and security protocols. Introduce risks in the networking environment and understanding of all levels where protective measures need to be implemented. Students will gain knowledge on how to deter, detect, prevent, and neutralize security breaches.

RESEARCH

The Laboratory for Information Security is established during Erasmus+ project "Information Security Services Education in Serbia" and it is aiming to become center of exelence in the information security area in Serbia.

COMMERCIAL SERVICES

The Laboratory for Information Security provides consulting services to both industry and goverment institutions in the area of information security.
